Gary Oldman and Winona Ryder… ahh, a classic Halloween movie. Also in honor of the sequel to the original novel, which was just released! (It says “Unavailable”, but just click on it and it will take you to Hulu to watch it)

Talking to my friend Blitz right now and he mentioned that he watched 28 Weeks Later on my blog, and I realized that I haven’t posted the first movie yet! So, here is the first in the series: 28 Days Later. Enjoy, and don’t test dangerous and volatile chemicals on unsuspecting humans without taking the necessary precautions!

We all know I have a problem with terrible horror movies. That’s no secret. Tonight is a bit reminiscent of a horror movie to me here in Chicago; there is a violent howling wind outside my window, it’s the middle of the night, and aside from the wind it’s just a little too silent… Who knows what sort of delicious horror will befall me! Well, to celebrate this most windy and scary of nights I’m going to share with you a terrible horror movie. Actually it’s been quite a while since I’ve seen this movie so I don’t remember how bad or good it is. I’ll let you watch it and judge for yourself – it’s the sequel to the zombie movie 28 days later (I love zombie movies!). Enjoy, stay warm if it’s cold, and remember: Always watch a scary movie with a candle burning. Dunno why, but it just feels right to me. Cheers!
I have a strange obsession with horror movies. I don’t know why. They scare the shit out of me and the really good ones can trigger one of my panic attacks – so why do I love them so much? Especially the gory ones. Unnecessary gore for some reason really just makes me happy. Well, not happy happy, but I get a kick out of watching it. I think it’s because they excite me, though! I’m not one of those people who can figure out the ending of the movie in the first 10 minutes… I like to just lose myself in the moment of what’s happening and try to experience what the characters are experiencing. I think it really lets me get the most out of movies. Even if they’re bad. Even if they’re really bad.
What I honestly can’t stand are comedies most of the time. I think romantic comedies are completely stupid. Except for Pretty Woman. That movie is the only romantic comedy that worked in my book. Honestly, I think that’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Seriously! I know you think I’m nuts, but there’s just something about it… I think it’s Julia Roberts’s hair. God, she has gorgeous hair. And for some reason this movie just always makes me feel good. They don’t make enough Feel Good Movies anymore, especially now when we need them most.
So, this is my gift to you today. Sit back and watch a Feel Good Movie – you deserve it. And most of all: Enjoy Julia Roberts’s hair.
