So it’s Thursday night and I’m indulging myself in Cap’n Crunch Berries, Cheez-its, tequila, and Friends. And of course my best friend roomie. Hmm… I feel like blogging but I don’t know what to write about. I kind of like my new blog look. I think my old one was more ‘homey,’ but this one is more wordpress friendly. The last one was kind of a wordpress hack-a-thon and this is more of an actual legit theme that won’t be affected by future wordpress versions. Score.

I’m reading up a lot on the future of Flash vs. HTML5… and I gotta say I am siding with both right now. I think HTML5 is going to be the dominant flavor for mobile devices and Flash is going to remain the platform for desktop web interactivity. Honestly, yes HTML5 has a lot going for it but there’s really no comparison as far as interactivity and animation go. You can’t put together an interactive online game with HTML5. At least, not an interesting one by today’s standards. Plus, can you do this with HTML5? I sink not.

This is one of my all time favorite movies from childhood!

So I was browsing the new movie trailers on Hulu today and noticed that this coming summer and fall are seasons for the kid in you at the movies! I remember some of my most beloved children’s books… ones I had nearly forgotten about until I saw these trailers. Now they’re coming to life and I couldn’t be more excited! I love it when your favorite stories from childhood – the ones that fed your imagination and created amazing new worlds for you – are realized with today’s computer graphics technology. And, being a huge computer graphics geek myself, these movies bring back to life some of my favorite moments of childhood and inspire my adult imagination more than ever before. These movies look absolutely beautiful and – at a time when it is most sorely needed – look like they’re going to be great places to escape to. See you at the movies!

One of my recent YouTube favorites! If you own a cat… then you understand.

This hilarious animation, “Can Man Do” by Simon Tofield of Tandem Films, is a great example of typical cat wake up call.
